 stract : Drell-Yan lepton pairs are produced in proton-antiproton collisio
 ns through an intermediate Z boson. The forward-backward asymmetry in the 
 polar-angle distribution in the CDF detector is used to extract an effecti
 ve electroweak mixing angle of 0.23221 +-0.00046. This result\, when inter
 preted within the context of the standard model yields an on-shell electro
 weak mixing angle of 0.22400 +- 0.00045\, or equivalently a W-boson mass o
