*Abstract :
According to the Theory of General Relativity, gravitational waves are ripples in spacetime caused by the asymmetrical acceleration of mass. 100 years since Einstein first predicted the existence of gravitational waves, the Advanced LIGO detectors succeeded in first direct detection in 2015. The most important contribution that made the detections possible was the upgrade to the Advanced LIGO, including a quadruple pendulum system, and monolithic fused silica final stage suspensions. To further improve the sensitivity of the detectors, world-wide collaboration works on various experimental and modelling are under progress to investigate. Among all research efforts, enhances suspension system investigation and atomic structure study for the coatings will be introduced in this talk.
